This beats practicing law in the city! I love Sproat Lake and one day would love to have my own cottage there. But then again, who needs one when the Andersen Paul cottage is so great! Penny and Jack are extremely friendly people and so accommodating. The property has everything you'd want and is so beautifully maintained. The lake is incredible and so is the nearby Barkley Sound. We took a fishing trip and caught 8 big sockeye salmon in the Alberni canal just minutes away from the cottage. I loved the giant cedars growing right through the deck of the cottage. This is true west coast rainforest. I would recommend this place to everyone wanting a romantic get away in the off season, a fishing adventure in the spring or fall, or a full on fun water holiday during the summer months.
